Nasty C Reacts to If Being Ask to Do Amapiano Songs

Nasty C Reacts to If Being Ask to Do Amapiano Songs:

Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, known professionally as Nasty C, is a South African rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Over the past few months, we’ve seen hot South African rappers dump hip hop for the hottest genre at the moment, and the award-winning star opened up about him doing piano songs.

“I love amapiano bro, different types of energy, you can’t fake that, but I would be faking if I did it. I’m Hip Hop to the core, but that’s not what I’m completely zoned in. I still do a bit of pop. I would do house music before amapiano. Amapiano is a bit inspired by Kwaito a bit, and that’s not my background. I did a Qgom song way back, but I was just f*cking it up. I mean if I did Qgom it wouldn’t be too weird since I’m from Durban. That’s what I heard on my way to school, from school and at school. You know…”

Nasty C was the youngest recipient of an award at the 2015 South African Hip Hop Awards, namely the Best Freshman Award. In March 2020, he signed a joint venture deal with Def Jam Records, and released his United States official single after joining Def Jam, “There They Go”, which gained him global recognition. From there, the star has worked with the likes of Ari Lennox, Young TThug, Big Sean and other international stars.
